A semi-interesting day spent in the Tsitsikamma park. The reward of the day was to se the colony of “Klippgrävlingar” Rock Dassies and the amazing camping grounds that all had their own barbecue areas. South Africans love a good Barbie or Brai…..are they at all related to Aussies ? Most of the day did feel like a big tourist-trap. In the afternoon me, my sister Mika and a few others in our group decided to go in a Canopy Tour in the forest. It was a wonderful way to truly experience the rain forest, it’s greenery and wildlife. It’s both exhilarating and beautiful to travel on the steel cables between the platforms high up in the tree tops. That was most definitely the best with our stay in Tsitsikamma….that and the fact that Hedda now walks 15-20 steps on her own !
